Masterson’s Lounge, situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The State of the Venue : Unhygienic and Abandoned
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire establishment . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , a rotting odor and illness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The lavatory was in even a truly awful state—overflowing , with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Unfortunately, his reputation in the financial sector is marred by a disturbing pattern of misconduct in his private dealings and professional settings .

During my time there, I noticed how distressed several female patrons seemed around Cornwell. As I asked around, I was stunned to find allegations against him involving inappropriate advances, with multiple women accusing him of harassing them digitally. Described as excessively forward and violating, Cornwell’s misconduct has created an hostile atmosphere for women who patronize Masterson’s.
